This area was cleared as part of the Middleport housing renewal programme and has recently been redeveloped to provide housing as well as a large care home.

Detailed description

The newly-built extra care home Baskeyfield House is now in occupation and this along with the houses to the north are bringing new residents to rhe area. The old East View has been converted to a pedestrian area. Several street names in this area have changed recently in a City Council-led scheme to pay tribute to locally born singer Robbie Williams.
